How many treatments are recommended?

For the ideal effect, 3 treatments are recommended, 6 weeks apart.

 

How long is one session?

A normal session is 50 minutes.

 

How painful is the treatment?

Whilst not intended to be painful, Lumi Eyes does cause discomfort during the treatment, but this pain should recede when the treatment is finished

 

Is there any downtime?

Thanks to the absorption speed there is no downtime with this treatment, you can return to your daily duties straight after the treatment. However, you may experience bruising or puffiness around the eye area for the next couple of days, but this will fade.

When can I expect results?

It will take around 3-4 days for the effects of Lumi Eyes to settle in, but as time goes on, the effects of the treatment will get more profound, especially as you have your second and third treatment.

How long do results last?

The effects of Lumi Eyes will start fading after around 1 year, making this treatment semi-permanent.

Does Lumi eyes have any possible side effects?

  • Mild swelling in the area of application

  • Slight redness and small injection marks

  • Mild bruising due to skin pricking

  • Erythema, itching, irritation

  • Possible allergic reactions to the products used during the treatment

Who CAN'T have Lumi Eyes treatments?​

  • Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Anyone hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid

  • Anyone with bacterial, fungal, and viral skin infections, skin inflammation, or active herpes

  • Anyone with severe forms of acne requiring pharmacological treatment

  • Anyone with blood coagulation disorders, or who is on anticoagulant drugs

  • Anyone with skin allergies, or high susceptibility to allergies

  • Anyone with damaged and irritated skin, sunburn, connective tissue diseases or psoriasis

  • Anyone with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars or keloids

  • Anyone with decompensated diabetes, neoplastic and autoimmune diseases

  • Anyone using immunosuppressive drugs, corticosteroids (6-8 weeks) or on oral therapy with retinoids, derivatives of vitamin a (at least 6 months break)

  • Anyone with skin cancer, or undergoing radiation therapy or chemotherapy

  • Anyone on oral, long-term steroid therapy

WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT:

  • Do not perform chemical peels or any strong cosmetic products in the treatment area for at least 3-4 days before treatment 

  • Do not drink alcohol 48 hours before the procedure

  • Avoid strong heating of the body before the treatment (solarium, saunas, direct sunlight etc)

TREATMENT AFTERCARE:

  • For 4 days after treatment, do not expose yourself to direct sunlight, or or any treatments that specifically warm up the body

  • Use SPF 50 sunscreen whenever you go outside

  • Avoid vigorous exercise for 7 days following your procedure,

  • Avoid the sauna, swimming pool, gyms, hot baths, solariums, and other places with large groups of people

  • Do not use chemical peels or perform strong cosmetic products in the treated area for a few days after the treatment

  • Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours

  • Do not use make-up for 48 hours after treatment, to prevent infection

  • Make sure you follow the rules of hygiene: dry your face with disposable towels, tone the skin, keep make-up brushes, and sponges clean, regularly change bath and hand towels, avoid touching your face, replace clean sheets for the post-treatment period.
